The fanfic - hopefully this isn't too spoilery - is Ami centric and revolves around her college career. She's studying to be a doctor, kicking ass and taking names as Ami is wont to do with all academic pursuits, when she discovers she has a certain amount of chemistry with one of her professors, Akira Kitagawa. Ami's always been the type of girl who follows the rules, so whatever shall she do now that she's tempted with something so decidedly against the rules?

You should go read it if you haven't. It's an interesting look at Ami and highly enjoyable!

Anyway, both fancasts were suggested by heavenly_pearl. Alexis Bledel has been a possibility for Ami in my head before, but let me tell you, it was hard finding a good, large picture of her with short hair. Most larger images of her are high fashion photoshoots, which would not work for our Ami-chan at all. ^^; The gentleman in the poster is her OC, Akira Kitagawa, played by David Krumholtz from Numb3rs. (At the moment, the thumbnail has his name misspelled, but hopefully that will fix itself in a few hours.) He definitely fits Akira in my book! :D

Anyway, please let me know what you think, and please go read that fic and let heavenly_pearl think!

I still have so many things I need to post here, but it's going to take me awhile to track it all down. I lost a bunch of stuff due to a computer kerfluffle. It's all hiding out on the internet though... somewhere...

This was actually meant to have Chibi-Usa in it as well, but I couldn't integrate her image into the poster well, so I've decided she'll have one on her own. However, I'd slaved over this thing for several hours and was so frustrated with it that I decided I wanted to finish it. As a result, it's not my favorite... however, I do really like the fancast if nothing else!

Amanda Seyfried's been my Usagi fancast ever since I decided Kristen Bell was my Minako. If you've seen Veronica Mars, you can appreciate why. Mamoru was much more difficult... there were plenty of suggestions from people, but none that worked well with Amanda. I polled numerous people and got tons of feedback, and then suddenly I was like, "Ian Somerhalder." He's not necessarily my perfect Mamoru (he's cool enough, but can he be adorkable? Because Mamoru is a special combination of both to form the quintessential hipster). He has the added benefit of being pretty, and he looks good in context with Amanda.

I have numerous issues with this, but there are parts of it I like. ^^; Please let me know what you think!

sailormoonland

Sailormoonland is an interactive team community for the fans of Sailormoon. There are three teams, which for the most part you can choose to join: Team Inners, Team Outers, and Team Chaos. You will be encouraged to participate in activities, earn points for your team, and hold both in-team and across-team discussions and parties and other fun things.

That was copied from the userinfo. My experiences with sailormoonland are all great ones. I have SO MUCH fun with just about every challenge they put up. There are fics and graphics and fanmixes and random things like mazes and scavenger hunts. And I think all of the teams are truly a community within themselves of great, fun, supportive people. But since I am now its leader, I'm obligated to tell you that Team Inners rocks the most. ;)

Please consider joining! And if you do join, tell them who sent you! (And Team Inners is the best team, just so you know. xD)

Made for sammywhatammy at sailormoonland's first Birthday Fortnight Gift-Giving Gala. Luna/Harry isn't a pairing I often think much about (being more of a Draco/Luna fan myself), but it's definitely one that gives me the warm fuzzies and that I can see/read about/appreciate in due course.

So of course I did not make a warm fuzzies kind of mix.

My intention with this mix was to show them separately pining for one another, but the songs I chose, I intended to be a little... off. It's honestly the best way I can describe them. They're not just mainstream, but a little... mystical I suppose. Up until the last track, when they realize they want each other, and they bone, and it is glorious. xD Enjoy!

I promised scarlet_malfoy I would maker a header for I think her 22nd birthday.  A year and a half later, I finally make good!  Here is her banner from Dollhouse featuring Topher Brink, the bestest of the best characters on the best show ever!  This is not shareable, but feel free to take a gander.  I'm in the mood to make more headers, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's another post with headers that you can actually use soon.

Yet another movie poster. Not as fond of this was as the Sailor V one, but I still like it! This one is for Yumeko, author of Spirit of Fire.

And yes, I realize that the actress for Rei's mother is Chinese, but someone showed me that picture of her, and it was simply too gorgeous to pass up. I wish I'd integrated it into the picture with more subtlety, but hey, nobody's perfect.

sailormoonland  recently held a graphics challenge where participants were meant to create a movie poster for Sailor Moon using Hollywood actors.  Naturally, I leapt at the chance to portray the lovely Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) as Sailor V.  The poster also features Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) as Kunzite, Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) as Ace, and Gillian Anderson (X-Files, The Last King of Scotland) as Katarina.  Yes, I'm mixing media, but I was envisioning it sorta like Mask of Lies.  I've never actually seen Taylor in anything, so I have no idea if he could pull off Kunzite as an actor, but I think Ed Westwick would rock as Ace.  And Gillian Anderson can do whatever she wants because she's Gillian Anderson. 

Anyway, hard as this was, I had a lot of fun making it.  There may be more in the future. :D Click for full view and let me know what you think!
